Cancer Sucks
At Clove’s last doctor’s appointment she had been complaining about a few breathing problems, and how she was frequently finding herself out of breath. After a few tests the discovered an abnormality in her lungs and suspected it was some form of cancer but the sent her to a specialist to confirm. We enter this scene as her family is waiting for the specialist final test results to return and deliver the cause of her struggles.
In Doctors Office
*frustrated voice*
Clove: What could possibly be taking him so long?
*weak voice*
Mother: I don't know sweetie, but I'm sure everything will be fine
*Enter Doctor*
Doctor: Clove, I am truly sorry you have tested positive for lung cancer and it has manifested faster than we could have originally anticipated. You will need to start treatment immediately, I will give you a few minutes to process all of this.
*Exit Doctor and Father tearing up*
*Mother and Clove begin to cry*
-a few minutes later everyone calms down and are gathered back into the room-
Doctor: I really am sorry, and I will do all I can for you.
*in weak voice*
Clove: Thank you, and don't be this isn't your fault, It is always God's decision what he wants to do through me and if this is his decision. Well, then I will just have to learn how to be okay with it.
*faintly smiles*
Clove: With that said, how bad is it really? please just be honest no sugar coating.
*lets out slight sigh*
Doctor: Okay, you have a extremely rare strain of lung cancer, approximately 7 people in one million get it every 5 years. It hasn't been found to be cured in any case. Typically the patient...
*signals to clove*
Doctor: ...will only survive around 7 months even while receiving treatment, however without any treatment the average is 5 months. From your progress so far you have 6 months left with treatment.
