Tragedy
Samantha was beginning to panic as the clock was nearing the hour of 5. The thought where was he? Continued to trail through her mind over and over. He should be back by now she thought, David was never out in the woods hunting this late. Sam was trying not to get too concerned but she couldn’t help it she was scared. She made an impulse decision one she didn’t know would be the end to her reign. Samantha slipped her combat boots on over her faded light wash denim jeans, the ones with holes all over and a little sharpied heart right above her left knee. On her way out the rustic front door she grabbed her leather jacket and floral scarf to protect her from the biting cold winter forest.
She was taking charge for once in her life; she barged out the door and scurried into the thick woods. Sam had never truly realized how hard it was to navigate these woods. Luckily, she knew how to trace tracks and she instantly found David’s trail. It took her hours to follow and she had to go over several obstacles and dodge braches all over the place. It began to get dark around 6:30pm and she knew she shouldn’t have come. Slowly, the tracks faded away and now she was really panicking. Then, she realized why she screamed his name as tears ran down her face. The love of her life was laying on the cold forests unwelcoming floor lifelessly mangled. “No!” she screamed “this can’t be right David!!!!!You can’t leave me” Samantha backed up slowly from the body in denial. Little did she know she was at the edge of a steep slope, and she had stepped just barley past her limits. Her foot slipped on a leaf and tumbled down the hill. When she reached the bottom her head had slammed against a rock and caved in.
